ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 1 -- Applied Image Group has added photonics firm Sine Patterns LLC to its family of companies. The optics firm signed an exclusive, definitive agreement on May 17. Officials said the two companies have joined forces to create a stronger manufacturing and product development organization. Robert Lamberts, founder and managing member of Sine Patterns, will continue as head of research and development efforts. Pittsford-based Sine Patterns is expected to relocate to Applied Image’s facility in Rochester within a month. "With our new association with Applied Image, we now will be able to reach a much broader market segment worldwide, with our existing sine targets and mask making services, than we ever had before," Lamberts said.
Applied Image Group is a group of four companies, including Applied Optics Inc., Applied Coatings Inc., Applied Image Inc. and Applied Glasstec Inc.
