The Autism Consortium has selected a microarray technology developed by Affymetrix Inc., of Santa Clara, Calif., for a comprehensive study on genes associated with autism. The technology is a result of an ongoing collaboration between the company and scientists at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and will enable researchers to analyze thousands of gene samples from autistic subjects.
