The opening of the Hsinchu, Taiwan location, the company said, will enable Ayar Labs to closely collaborate with the local Taiwan semiconductor ecosystem and leverage the region’s talent pool. Scott Clark, who initially joined the company as vice president of manufacturing and operations, will expand his role to include oversight of the company’s operations in Taiwan, where he will now be based.

Khanzodé most recently led Marvell Technology, Inc.’s product pre- and post-silicon validation. He has more than 30 years of engineering leadership experience in scaling complex semiconductor products.

Ayar Labs' expansion follows the company's $155 million funding round last year. The company additionally unveiled its industry-first UCIe optical interconnect chiplet for co-packaged optics earlier this year. The solution aims to eliminate data bottlenecks by maximizing AI infrastructure performance and efficiency while reducing latency and power consumption.
