The user enters the data for their application, such as necessary angle of view, working distance and object size. The tool then proposes suitable series of lenses that fit with the size and resolution of the sensor.

The device also can suggest, depending on which type of camera is required, separate selections for area scan, line scan, network cameras, parameters for resolution, sensor technology and optics.
