Tim Baxter was recently named executive vice president of sales and marketing for Samsung's Consumer Electronics Div. (CED), based in Ridgefield Park, N.J., responsible for visual display (LCD, plasma, CRT and microdisplay) and digital audiovisual (Blu-ray, DVD recorders/players, home and portable audio and camcorders) product lines. Baxter was formerly senior vice president of marketing at Sony Corp. and previously handled residential phone business marketing, product management and sales at AT&T.
