Fabric sensor technology developer BeBop Sensors Inc. has won the Best New Material Award at the 2018 IDTechEx Wearable USA Awards for its wearable fabric sensor technology.

The Wearable USA Awards recognize company developments and successes that its judges believe are the most useful and/or innovative wearable technology devices. The awards are presented at Wearable USA, a series of events that include applications in printed electronics, wearables, sensors, Internet of Things, 3D printing, graphene, 2D materials, energy storage, and electric vehicles.

BeBop’s fabric sensors comprehend force, location, size, weight, bend, twist, and presence across any size, resolution, and geometry to make things “knowable.” Applications include wearable, industrial, human factors, sports, automotive, medical, military, outdoor wear, virtual reality, gaming, and musical instruments.
