HEBRON, Ky., July 19, 2016 — Beam Machines Inc. has established operations in the U.S., and appointed Tim Bell general manager and vice president of business development for the subsidiary.

Beam Machines manufactures metal 3D additive manufacturing machines based on laser material deposition (LMD) and CNC (computer numeric control) technology. The machines support a range of materials such as stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys and cobalt chromium.

The company said the U.S. additive manufacturing market is fairly mature, and expects its industrial approach and technologies to be well-received. Machines for the U.S. market will be manufactured at one of the machine-tool facilities of Fives’ Machining Systems Inc. of Fond du Lac, Wis.
