Bio-Imaging, Bayer Join in Osteoarthritis Study

WEST TRENTON, NJ, April 15 -- Bio-Imaging Technologies, Inc. has entered into an agreement with Bayer to provide medical image core laboratory and digital image management services in support of a long-term Phase III study of an agent for the treatment of patients with Osteoarthritis. Bio-Imaging will use its remote Computer-Assisted Masked Reading system to digitize study image data at its Netherlands facility and transmit the information over a high-speed communications line to a Paris hospital where the data will be evaluated by rheumatologists on a daily basis. The evaluations will then be communicated to the sites and to Bayer.
