Blackbird Robotersysteme Opens Shanghai Division
GARCHING, Germany, Feb. 20, 2017 — Robot-based laser-welding solutions developer Blackbird Robotersysteme GmbH has recently opened Blackbird Robotics Co. Ltd., a new facility in Shanghai, commencing operations as a sales and service center for the Asian market.
The site's new laser application laboratory provides space for four laser cells, and the company sees growth in its intelliSCAN FT 2D scan system and ScanControlUnit.
"We're very pleased with this segment's rising unit sales," said Derek Wang, general manager of Blackbird Robotics. "The systems' flexibility, high dynamics and freely programmable oscillation have certainly been primary purchasing factors, especially among battery producers."
