An investment group formed by Carlisle Enterprises LLC of San Diego has acquired UVP Inc. of Upland, Calif. The former plans to help the latter — a manufacturer of fluorescence- and luminescence-based imaging systems for academic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications — further expand into the life sciences market.
