Coherent Adds Executive VP; QuiX Quantum Appoints CFO: People in the News: 07/19/23

ENSCHEDE, Netherlands, July 19, 2023 — Quantum photonic computing company QuiX Quantum named Kathy Willing CFO. Willing has over 25 years of international experience in a broad range of industries. She began her career in investment banking as an equity research analyst at Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs, covering the telecommunications industry. She joins QuiX Quantum from Reynen Court, a legal-tech startup based in the U.S. and Netherlands where she served as CFO.

PITTSBURGH — Coherent Corp. named Christopher Dorman executive vice president of its laser business. Dorman most recently served as senior vice president and general manager based in Coherent’s Glasgow, Scotland, facility. He joined the company in 2002 as a product manager and has held various positions such as general manager and vice president.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — AFL, a fiber optics infrastructure company, named Marc Bolick president of product solutions. Bolick most recently served as vice president of Corning’s wireless business unit.

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — MicroCare, a provider of cleaning and coating solutions for fiber optics and fiber optic connectors, named Venesia Hurtubise vice president of technology and compliance. Hurtubise previously served as a MicroCare technical chemist.
