CoolLED Ltd. and Tek5 Systems LLC
UK-based light-source manufacturer CoolLED Ltd. and Tek5 Systems LLC have together established CoolLED USA in Yorktown Heights, N.Y., to support research and OEM users of CoolLED products in the US and Canada. The unit will operate in conjunction with existing distribution networks. CoolLED Ltd., the first to commercialize an LED illumination unit for fluorescence microscopy, develops products for the life sciences and other markets. Tek5 Systems, also of Yorktown Heights, specializes in microscope and instrument automation and has provided microscope stages and peripherals for many years. The formal agreement was signed during the Neuroscience 2012 meeting.
