Corning Adds to Board of Directors

CORNING, N.Y., Feb. 8, 2021 — Corning Inc. appointed Roger Ferguson Jr. to its board of directors, effective April 1. He is president and CEO of the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association — College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA) and formerly served as vice chairman of the Board of Governors for the U.S. Federal Reserve System. He was a member of the Payment System Oversight, Reserve Bank Operations, and Supervision and Regulation committees.

Ferguson will serve on the board’s Compensation and Nominating and Corporate Governance committees. He will hold office until Corning’s annual meeting of shareholders in spring 2021, at which time he will stand for election to a one-year term.

His appointment brings the number of Corning directors to 14.
