Janos Technology Inc., a Townshend, Vt., maker of infrared optical components and assemblies, announced it is expanding its capabilities in coatings, diamond-turning, custom lens generating and automated polishing with a new five-axis generating machine, additional centering and diamond turning machines, and new automated polishing capabilities for plano, spherical and aspherical surfaces. Nomiya has 36 years experience in the semiconductor industry, and has held several executive positions at Hitachi Semiconductor, including general manager and CEO. Most recently, he was CEO of the semiconductor equipment business group of Kokusai Electric, a subsidiary of Hitachi.
