Griffin is the new head of the Space Department at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, in Laurel, Md. Griffin succeeds Stamatios M. (Tom) Krimigis, head of the Space Department since 1991.   . . .   Evolution Robotics Inc., a Pasadena, Calif., robotics technology company, has appointed Hans-Gunther Brosius, a long-time corporate sales executive, as vice president and general manager of its European, Middle East and Africa business. Brosius was formerly senior regional director and general manager at Symantec.
