Breakaway Imaging LLC, a Littleton, Mass., developer of medical imaging systems used in surgery, has received FDA pre-market notification for its mobile O-arm imaging system intended for use in 2-D (fluoroscopic) imaging, 3-D (volumetric) imaging and compatibility with image guided surgery systems. The company is initially targeting the O-arm for use in orthopedic and spine procedures.    . . .    Utah-based Dentrix Dental Systems, part of the Henry Schein Inc. healthcare group, has placed an order valued at $5.7 million from e2v technologies for the continual supply of digital intra-oral dental x-ray sensors. Delivery will begin in June. The CCD (charge-coupled device) sensors will be incorporated in the Dentrix ImageRAYi digital x-ray imaging system. e2v is a specialist supplier of radio frequency, microwave and sensing components and sub-systems, image sensors and thermal imaging cameras.    . . .    Lynx Photonic Networks, based in Calabasas Hills, Calif., announced an agreement with OrbitIQ Inc. for the sale of its photonic switch products in North America. OrbitIQ is an Ottawa, Ontario, business acceleration company for the information and communications technology industries.
