Keithley Instruments Inc. of Cleveland, a provider of measurement solutions for electronics manufacturers, has released a tutorial CD titled "Interactive Test & Measurement Troubleshooting Guide: How to Avoid Common Measurement Errors." The CD lets users explore the symptoms and causes of common errors associated with low-level signals, such as low voltage, low current, low resistance, high resistance and voltage from a high resistance source measurement. To request a free copy, call (800) 688-9951 or visit:    . . .   Tucson, Ariz.-based Redlake MASD LLC, a provider of high-speed and high-resolution cameras, has entered into an agreement with General Motors Corp. to be the exclusive provider of high-speed cameras for vehicle crash, sled and impact testing. The contract, valued at more than $5 million, involves Redlake HG Series cameras, which, with resolutions ranging from 1000 to 100,000 fps, were specifically designed for applications such as vehicle impact testing, airbag deployment and component safety testing.    . . .    StockerYale Inc., a provider of photonics-based products located in Salem, N.H., announced that it is supplying laser modules for SICK|IVP's IVC-3D smart camera. SICK is a global manufacturer of sensors, safety systems and automatic identification solutions for factory automation. The new sensor utilizes a StockerYale laser specifically developed to meet 3-D requirements and suitable for inspection tasks in the food and packaging industries, in production processes or robot handling systems. The product was recently introduced at the Hannover Industrial Fair in Germany.    . . .    The Cleveland Clinic is the first facility in the world to install the Axiom Artis dBC magnetic navigation system, the latest in digital fluoroscopic imaging from Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, Pa. According to Siemens, the machine is capable of improving the ease and accuracy of catheter-based procedures. It can be used by clinicians as either a biplane angiography C-arm system or as a magnetic navigation system. Using computer-controlled permanent magnets external to the body for orienting the magnetic tip of catheters and guidewires, the Axiom Artis dBC allows for 360-degree rotation of the catheter. The clinic imaged its first patient with the system in July.
