Optical Research Associates announced that they have extended the modeling and analysis capabilities of their illumination design and analysis software package. The LightTools Version 3.1 demonstrates improved simulation of back-lit displays and illuminated instrument panels with the added capability to model a wide variety of textured surfaces, such as paint dots, masks, appliques and arrays of thin lenses.
