Heidelberg Engineering, a Heidelberg, Germany-based maker of instruments for opthalmic applications, announced today it has received FDA clearance for its HRT II/Rostock cornea module, the key component of its confocal laser microscope, which is used to take direct images of the cornea for glaucoma detection.
