Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email Comments
NEW YORK, N.Y., April 7 -- EDO Corp. has received $12.2 million in new combat systems contracts from U.S. and international customers. Primary work will be performed at EDO's Combat Systems business unit in Chesapeake, VA.
The first and largest award is a $7.0 million option add-on to an existing Royal Norwegian Navy contract under which EDO is the prime integrator for a new combat system to be installed on three in-service Norwegian coast guard ships. The system utilizes off-the-shelf radar, integrated bridge and navigation, electro-optic sensor and helicopter landing subsystems. Under the new option, EDO will install a similar system on an additional coast guard ship.
