ESL Lighting Tech Awarded Patent

SEATTLE, July 27, 2010 — Vu1 Corp announced that the US Patent and Trademark Office has issued a notice of allowance for a patent application for its ESL lighting technology.

The mercury-free, energy-efficient, general illumination lighting technology manufacturer received US patent application serial no.: 11/969,840 for the system and apparatus for cathodoluminescent lighting, relating to the method of operation to create light via phosphor and a cathode, which is a component of the company’s ESL (electron stimulated luminescence) clean, energy efficient lighting technology.

The allowance of the first patent application is one of 11 pending US and international patent applications the company has submitted for the technology.

The ESL technology produces light identical in quality to traditional incandescent light bulbs, according to the company.
