Edinburgh Instruments Appoints Shepherd Chairman

LIVINGSTON, Scotland, May 30, 2012 — As all of its divisions continue to grow, Edinburgh Instruments Ltd. has announced the appointment of Dr. Derek Shepherd as its new chairman.

Shepherd brings to his new position more than 25 years of experience at Aggreko plc, where he oversaw the company’s expansion across Central and South America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

He is the chairman and founding director of University of Edinburgh spinout company NGenTec Ltd., and an advisor to KarPower International.

Edinburgh Instruments manufactures and develops high-end scientific technology products for the photonics, spectroscopy and gas sensor markets.
