Edmund Leadership Creates Endowed Chair, Scholarship at Wyant
BARRINGTON, N.J., May 6, 2022 — Edmund Optics and the University of Arizona Wyant College of Optical Sciences have created an endowed chair, the Robert M. Edmund Endowed Chair in Optical Sciences, and launched the Advancing Women in Optics Scholarship, which was established by Marisa A. Edmund.
The endowed chair will support a Wyant faculty member. Robert Edmund and his family have funded three endowed scholarships. Robert Edmund is CEO and chairman of the board of Edmund Optics.

The goal of the Advancing Women in Optics Scholarship is for applicants to show a passion in advancing women in the field of optical sciences and optical engineering and supporting diversity in STEM fields. Marisa Edmund is chief sales and marketing officer at Edmund Optics and vice chairman of the board.
Edmund has also opened its facility in Cherry Hill, N.J. The 28,000-sq-ft facility, opened to accommodate Edmund’s growing employee base in response to business demands, will be home to the company’s sales, marketing, and compliance departments and business lines.
