Elbit to Supply Laser Missile-Defense Systems to Asian Military

Elbit Systems Ltd. said it will provide an Asian country’s military with laser missile-defense systems for Blackhawk helicopters.

The company’s MUSIC directed IR countermeasures systems are already used on Israeli commercial aircraft as well as by the Brazilian, Italian and German air forces. The fiber laser-based systems are designed to protect large aircraft against attacks by ground-to-air heat-seeking missiles.
