maker GigOptix Inc. of Palo Alto, Calif., has signed with Tokyo-based Solekia Ltd.
to expand its application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) product distribution
in Japan. The latter, a semiconductor and component device trading company, will
offer GigOptix’s structured ASIC devices and standard cells along with local
design and sales support to Japanese companies that focus on the industrial and
medical markets. Midoriya Electric Co. will continue to be the company’s sole
distributor for optical and radio-frequency sales in Japan.
