Emergent Vision Technologies Inc. announced it has launched overseas operations in Europe. A leader in the field of industrial cameras based on the 10-GbE and 25-GbE interface, the company said its new subsidiary, Emergent Vision Technologies GmbH, commenced operations this month. The subsidiary is located near Stuttgart, Germany.

Thomas Detjen, sales director of EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) for Emergent, is leading operations. In a press release, the company said its new offices will offer closer proximity to the largest EMEA markets, and closer support for its customers and partners based in those countries.

“Thomas brings a strong sales background and proven leadership skills to our new German office,” said John Ilett, CEO and founder of Emergent Vision Technologies. “Thomas is a critical addition to our global team as we continue to add focus to channel sales and grow our presence across EMEA.”

“The market opportunity for Emergent is impressive,“ Detjen said. “We have incredible technology and technical advantages, which will help our customers have more success in their markets. I am very excited to help our customers and partners across Europe and the whole EMEA region.”
