Available from Charles River Laboratories International Inc., the Endosafe-MCS multicartridge endotoxin test system employs an FDA-licensed limulus amoebocyte lysate test cartridge and a multicartridge spectrophotometer to provide test results for up to five samples in about 15 min. The disposable cartridges contain the components needed to run an assay. The system reader permits quantitative analysis of multiple samples simultaneously. Several MCS and PTS portable units can be connected to a computer for high throughput and real-time results. Test results are captured via the EndoScan-V detection software, which can be linked to Endosafe Microtrend for data trending and analysis.
