Thermo Instrument Systems Inc. of Waltham, Mass., announced that its Spectra Precision AB subsidiary in Danderyd, Sweden, has formed a joint venture company with Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH of Germany. The new company, ZSP Geodetic Systems GmbH, which will produce surveying instruments and positioning equipment, incorporates Zeiss' surveying division and will be integrated into Spectra Precision's sales and marketing organization.
