Furukawa.jpgFurukawa America Inc. has issued the 26-page booklet “Fitel: Taking Splicers to the Next Level” (2007, Volume 1). The publication features fusion splicers for optical fiber in fiber manufacturing, R&D, and installation and maintenance applications. It highlights the new handheld Fitel S177A series core-alignment, the S183PM full function and the S122M12 handheld ribbon fusion splicers. Optical fiber strippers, cleavers, reinforcement sleeves and other tools for optical fiber connections are detailed, including the SmartFuse advanced fusion splicer software. A chart categorizes the splicers based on the fiber alignment type.
