Former Broadcom Execs Join Luxtera
CARLSBAD, Calif., Feb. 14, 2012 — Three former Broadcom executives have joined Luxtera Inc.’s management team to advance its focus on high-volume optical applications, the company announced.
Luxtera named Joseph Balardeta as vice president of engineering. Previously, he held senior technical management positions at AMCC and Broadcom.
Chris Bergey was appointed vice president of marketing. Before joining Luxtera, he spent five years establishing and managing Broadcom’s WLAN combo business.
Ron Horan also joins Luxtera as vice president of sales. Before this appointment, he served as senior director of sales and global account manager for Broadcom.
Luxtera is a fabless semiconductor company that provides silicon CMOS photonics.
