GT Solar Receives Orders
GT Solar International Inc. of Merrimack,
N.H., has received orders totaling $81.7 million from two new customers in Asia
for its polysilicon production equipment. The orders include hydrochlorination equipment
used in the production of trichlorosilane and other polysilicon production equipment.
The orders will be included in the company’s backlog for its first quarter
of fiscal 2012, which ended July 2. GT Solar provides polysilicon production technology,
and sapphire and silicon crystalline growth systems and materials for solar, LED
and other specialty markets.
