CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 13, 2011 — Goodrich Corp. has received an order from Roketsan Missiles Industries Inc. of Turkey for its SiIMU02 inertial measurement unit (IMU), the company announced.

The IMU, which will be produced at Goodrich’s Plymouth, UK, facility, will facilitate precision guidance of Roketsan’s new CIRIT 70-mm laser-guided missile for attack helicopters. The CIRIT is one of the first missiles in its class to incorporate the inertial sensing unit package.

The production order follows the successful qualification and customization of the SiIMU02 package for CIRIT in 2011.
