Hanson Joins Infinera as VP

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 23, 2012 — Todd Hanson was appointed vice president of the Global Professional Services Div. at Infinera Corp., the company announced.

Infinera’s Global Professional Services Div. supports customers with deployment, technical support, training, maintenance and consulting services such as network migrations from legacy equipment to photonic integrated circuit (PIC) based systems.

Hanson brings to his new position his experience as a former Infinera customer. He previously served in engineering and operations, management and executive roles at Sprint, AT&T Canada, Qwest, Frontier and Time Warner Cable.

“I look forward to working with our customers to improve their networks, demonstrating the ease of operation on Infinera’s platforms and the capex and opex improvements,” Hanson said.

Serving 98 customers globally with equipment operating in 50 countries, Infinera specializes in systems that are designed to improve the economics of optical networking by combining the speed of optics with the simplicity of digital.
