The University of Strathclyde appointed Jennifer Hastie as director of its Institute of Photonics. Hastie was previously the institute’s deputy director and has worked there since joining as a doctoral student in 2000. CORK, Ireland — Denis Doyle was appointed chair of the board at Tyndall National Institute. He will lead the board’s oversight of the future development and expansion of Ireland’s flagship research institute in integrated information communications technology hardware and systems at University College Cork. Doyle previously served in various roles at Analog Devices International, including as vice president and general manager of U.S. and Irish manufacturing operations. BOULDER, Colo. — ColdQuanta, a developer and manufacturer of instruments and systems for quantum technologies applications, named Neil Anderson general manager of quantum components.
