Headwall Adds Directors Armstrong and Felsheim

Headwall Photonics Inc. has hired Karen Armstrong as director of manufacturing and operations, and promoted Christian Felsheim to director of Headwall Photonics Europe.

Armstrong most recently served as operations manager at IPG Photonics, responsible for the optical component production group for a product line of industrial lasers. Previously she was director of manufacturing operations at General Dynamics/Axsys IR Systems, overseeing the high-volume assembly and test area and supporting business growth while implementing improvements in manufacturing, automation, and business processes.

Felsheim joined the Headwall sales team in 2018 as business development and OEM account manager for the European region with a focus on expanding sales and solidifying customer relationships across the region. He previously served as head of OEM sales at Andor Technology, extending the company’s reach into the life science and machine vision markets, and he was vice president of sales EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) at JAI A/S, a manufacturer of area and linescan cameras for machine vision applications such as food sorting and intelligent traffic systems (ITS).

Headwall is a designer and manufacturer of spectral instrumentation solutions for remote sensing, advanced machine vision, and government/defense markets. The company is headquartered in the United States and has locations in Belgium, Germany, and Italy. European headquarters operations at Headwall BVBA are located near Brussels.
