Heinricht to Lead Schott Board
MAINZ, Germany, Feb. 28, 2013 — Dr. Frank Heinricht has been appointed chairman of the board of management at industrial glass products manufacturer Schott AG. He will take office June 1.
Heinricht currently is chairman of the board of management at Heraeus Holding GmbH, a position he assumed in 2003. He was appointed labor director and chairman of the company’s board in 2008.
He began his career at Temic Semiconductors, where he served as general manager and chairman of the Integrated Circuits Div. He was appointed CEO of Temic Semiconductor Group in 1998.
Dr. Dieter Kurz, chairman of the supervisory board, said Heinricht’s “experience in managing a company with a complex portfolio makes him ideally suited to lead Schott. He has a proven track record in expanding the market presence of a global company, particularly in Asia. We are confident that the necessary reorientation at Schott is in excellent hands with him.”
