A wholly owned subsidiary of II-VI Inc. of Saxonburg, Pa., will purchase a 74.9 percent interest in Highyag Lasertechnologie GmbH of Stahnsdorf, Germany, developers of automated equipment that delivers 1-μm laser light for cutting and drilling. The American company plans to expand its product offerings of laser optics and components.
