IMPSAT Signs $300 Million Regional Agreement With 360networks

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, Sept. 6 -- IMPSAT Fiber Networks Inc. has agreed to provide 360networks, a broadband and co-location services company, with telecommunications services in Latin America.
The contract gives 360networks the right to use dark and lit fiber along IMPSAT's 4600-km network currently under construction in Argentina and Brazil. 360networks will also receive maintenance services from IMPSAT, as well as tele-housing space in IMPSAT's Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela facilities. In return, IMPSAT has promised to buy high-bandwidth capacity on 360networks' submarine cable network, which will enhance 360networks' Latin American coverage and allow IMPSAT to increase its broadband connectivity to US territories.
IMPSAT is a broadband data transmission and private telecommunications services provider in Latin America with operations in the US.
