InfraRed Imaging Systems Inc.
Medical device company InfraRed Imaging Systems Inc. of Columbus,
Ohio, announced that it has received an $812,000 grant from the Ohio Third Frontier
Commission, an economic development arm of the Ohio Department of Development. With
the purpose of further developing medical imaging businesses in the state, the grant
will allow the company to complete engineering modifications on its Vascular Viewer.
Once the changes have been completed, the product will be launched commercially.
Working in collaboration with three companies – Astro Manufacturing of Eastlake,
and entrotech and United Medical Products, both of Columbus – InfraRed Imaging
will receive a monetary commitment exceeding $1.1 million.
