Inuitive Licenses Ceva Processor

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., June 9, 2016 — Fabless semiconductor company Inuitive Ltd. has licensed and deployed the CEVA-XM4 intelligent vision digital signal processor from signal processing IP licensor Ceva Inc. for its next-generation, augmented reality and computer vision system-on-chip, the NU4000.

Inuitive will leverage the CEVA-XM4 to run complex, real-time depth sensing, feature tracking, object recognition, deep learning and other vision-related algorithms targeting a range of mobile devices including augmented and virtual reality headsets, drones, consumer robots, 360° cameras and depth sensors. Developers and OEMs will also be able to leverage the open, programmable nature of the CEVA-XM4 in the Inuitive system-on-chip to add their own differentiating features and algorithms via software.

Inuitive is a developer of multicore signal processor chips for mobile applications such as virtual reality head mount displays, augmented reality glasses, smartphones, tablets and laptops.

Ceva partners with semiconductor companies and OEMs to create power-efficient, intelligent and connected devices for a range of end markets including mobile, consumer, automotive, industrial and the Internet of Things.
