GLEN BURNIE, Md., June 6 -- Susan L. Trumbule, president and CEO of Iphotonics Inc., presided over official opening ceremonies for the 66,000 square foot fiber optic assembly plant recently completed in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The all-new business facility is home for the two-year-old company that supplies optical integration and manufacturing services to OEMs in the optical networking industry. This facility will give Iphotonics a total of 76,000 square feet of space for their business operations.
Established in 1999, Iphotonics is pioneering a new definition of optical manufacturing and assembly and is creating an entirely new type of business model in support of its customers. The company serves as a seamless extension of the OEMs, providing them with component procurement, manufacturing, integration, testing and data reporting. Today, Iphotonics is supplying many of the major businesses in the industry with volume production of subsystems and other modules.
