Isorg Collaborates with Precise Biometrics on Turnkey Fingerprint Sensor

LIMOGES, France, Feb. 6, 2023 — Isorg, a developer of organic photodetectors (OPD) and large-area image sensors, has collaborated with Precise Biometrics, a provider of fingerprint verification software, on a new fingerprint-on-display solution for the mobile phone industry.

The solution is based on Isorg’s OPD technology and can achieve large-area fingerprint modules ranging from 20 × 30 mm2 to full-display versions. The complete module not only contains the organic image sensor, but also the necessary optical layers, in addition to its proprietary ASIC ReadOut IC. Full-display modules allow authentication by applying the fingertip in any position across the entire screen. Moreover, it allows for multifinger authentication, which greatly increases the level of security.

Isorg has solicited Precise Biometrics’ help in fingerprint development and optimization algorithms to bring the technology to market. The collaboration will mainly focus on image processing optimization, taking into account the specifics of Isorg’s hardware performance and enhancing matching quality by fine-tuning Precise Biometrics’ algorithms and integrating anti-spoofing features.
