Jenoptik Appoints Interim President to Lead Optical Systems Business
FREMONT, Calif., May 23, 2025 — Jenoptik has named Gregg Borek as interim president of JENOPTIK Optical Systems, LLC. Borek has served as vice president of micro-optics for JENOPTIK Optical Systems and general manager of the Huntsville, Ala. facility for more than 15 years.

Prior to Jenoptik, Borek served as director of engineering for MEMS Optical for 13 years. Jenoptik acquired the company in 2006 and Borek assumed the role of president and CEO for four years.
Borek steps into the role held by the late Jay Kumler, who also served as president of JENOPTIK North America.
