Jenoptik Expands Deal with RPMC Lasers

JENA, Germany, Nov. 23, 2010 — The Laser and Materials Processing division of Jenoptik has expanded their current distribution agreement with RPMC Lasers Inc. In addition to high-power laser diodes and semiconductor material, RPMC is now the exclusive partner for the solid-state laser product segment.

With this arrangement, the two companies will expand their cooperation, which began three years ago. In addition to high-power laser diodes and the semiconductor material for laser diodes, RPMC will now supply all lasers in the solid-state laser segment. RPMC will be the “exclusive distributor for North America” for all Jenoptik supplied laser sources. Under this arrangement, Jenoptik shares the entire technology chain of laser sources — from standard products to custom-specific products — with users in the North American market.

The offer comprises unassembled laser diode bars and single emitters, laser diodes with or without collimation, vertical and horizontal laser diode stacks, fiber-coupled laser diodes and high-brightness modules. Diode-pumped thin-disk lasers, infrared lasers, femtosecond lasers, fiber lasers and high-power laser systems in pulsed or CW mode have now been added.
