Jenoptik AG of Jena, Germany, has expanded its surface inspection operations as part of its focus on photonics technology. Its subsidiary SIS GmbH in Munich, Germany, which produces surface inspection systems, has been brought into the Jenoptik Group to advance its entrance into new markets with additional and upgraded products. The name of SIS was changed to Jenoptik Surface Inspection GmbH.
