Jenoptik Names Director of Corporate Identity, Communications; Ray Therapeutics Adds CDO: People in the News: 08/23/2023

JENA, Germany — Jenoptik named Sabine Klisch director of corporate identity and communications. Most recently, Klisch served as vice president of global marketing at MOSTLY AI, a startup in the field of AI-generated synthetic data based in Vienna. She spent most of her career working and living in South Africa, where she successfully set up and led global marketing for the international telematics company MiX Telematics, among others. Klisch has also held roles at IBM and Pixelpark in Germany.

HOD HASHARON, Israel — Valens Semiconductor, a provider of connectivity solutions for the audio-video and automotive markets, appointed Yael Rozenberg Haine interim CFO. Haine follows Dror Heldenberg, who has decided to step down from the role, the company said. Rozenberg Haine also holds the role of vice president of finance and, prior to joining the company in 2013, served in various finance positions at Broadcom and at Provigent, which was acquired by Broadcom. Heldenberg will be stepping down to pursue other opportunities after more than eight years of service.

SAN FRANCISCO — Ray Therapeutics, an optogenetics medicines company, promoted Jenny Holt to chief development officer. Holt has more than 25 years of experience as a biotech and pharmaceutical executive, primarily in gene therapies, ophthalmology, and oncolytic viral research. Holt joins Ray Therapeutics from 4D Molecular Therapeutics, an Adeno-associated virus-based gene therapy company, where she managed five gene therapy products from discovery to early-stage clinical development.

SAN FRANCISCO — Ouster Inc., a provider of high-performance lidar sensors for the automotive, industrial, robotics and smart infrastructure industries, appointed Cyrille Jacquemet senior vice president of global sales. Jacquemet will take over for Nate Dickerman, overseeing worldwide sales, marketing, and customer success. Jacquemet has been a strategic sales leader at Ouster since 2018 and brings global commercial experience. He previously served as the CEO and founder of Business Crescendo, a business development consulting firm focused on international expansion, where he supported go-to-market strategies, building strategic partnerships, sales prospects, and customer engagement.


ORLANDO, Fla., — Laser Photonics Corp. named Troy Parkos to its board of directors as well as the company’s audit committee. Parkos has spent the past 26 years at Fastenal Co., progressively increasing responsibilities within sales and territorial executive roles.

BRUSSELS — VoxelSensors, a developer of 3D perception technology for extended reality, appointed Tim Droz and Youssef Benmokhtar to its board of directors and advisory board, respectively. Droz has held senior technical management positions at Meta Reality Labs, Sony DepthSensing Solutions, and Canesta (acquired by Microsoft), while Benmokhtar currently serves as the CEO of tactile sensing technology specialist GelSight. He has also held positions as the former senior vice president of business development at Magic Leap and DigitalOptics Corp.
