JENA, Germany, May 21, 2014 — Jenoptik AG’s Traffic Solutions division has received an order for 240 traffic enforcement systems to be installed around Singapore, valued in the single-digit million euro range.
The order was placed by NCS Communications Engineering Pte. Ltd. in Singapore and covers the delivery, installation and commissioning of the digital TraffiStar SR520 red-light traffic enforcement systems for the Singapore police. The order also includes TraffiDesk software, for incident processing and adjudication. Deliveries will take place during the second half of 2014.
The TraffiStar SR520 stationary measurement system is based on point measuring induction loop technology for red-light violation enforcement on multiple traffic lanes at intersections, the identification of vehicle class and the automatic recognition of violators’ number plates.
