Machinery and industrial laser developer Trumpf has appointed Raif Kimmel as the general manager of the Trumpf Laser Technology Center in Township, Michigan. Kimmel has been with Trumpf since 2000 when he began his career as a project engineer in its laser systems division. As general manager for the Trumpf laser division business in North America, his responsibilities include management of sales, service and application development. “I am excited to embark on this new opportunity,” Kimmel said. “I anticipate strong sales increases in additive manufacturing with laser technologies, applications in e-mobility, semiconductor industries and medical device applications, and I am humbled that I have been chosen to lead our exceptional team during this exciting time of growth.” Trumpf develops fabricating machinery and industrial lasers for flexible sheet metal processing.
