Kotura Selected for PhASER

Kotura Inc., Silicon Photonic products maker, has been selected by Telcordia as a partner in Darpa's Photonic Analog Signal Processing Engine with Reconfigurability (PhASER) program. The goal of the PhASER program is to use photonics to resolve some of the limits with conventional digital signal processing technology. “At Telcordia, we had the RF algorithms and the PhASER design concepts, but not the technology platform to implement an integrated solution. Kotura had silicon photonics, the design team and the internal fab to implement our designs,” said Dr. Ted K. Woodward, a chief scientist in the Applied Research Division of Telcordia Technologies Inc.
