LBP Purchases Symons Mirror Technology

BIGGLESWADE, England, Sept. 9, 2019 — LBP Optics has announced the purchase of Symons Mirror Technology, an optical and mechanical component diamond machining company. The acquisition allows LBP Optics to manufacture complex shapes such as polygons, axicons, infrared domes, aspherics, ellipsoids, off-axis parabolic, Fresnel optics, and toroids.

LBP Optics supplies laser mirrors and infrared optics for applications such as laser cutting and welding, military and defense systems, research and development, medical and dental lasers, chemical sensing, instrumentation, spectroscopy, and imaging. The company was purchased by ULO Optics in August 2017.
